Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions and an overview of salon policies.
By reserving an appointment at Rare Earth Hair Studio, you are confirming you have read and agree to these policies.

All guests must have a card on file to reserve an appointment. New Guest appointments require a $50 deposit to book.

Following these prep instructions ensures that we can focus the best of our energy on creating your beautiful new look, rather than solely detangling/prep.
Upon arrival, if hair is not prepped, your appointment will need to be rescheduled and you will be charged 50% of scheduled service price per our cancellation policy.
Curly Cuts: Please arrive with dry hair that has been washed and thoroughly detangled within 1-3 days of your appointment. Avoid buns, braids, and ponytails and applying raw oils and butters to the hair.
Express Cuts: For established guests only - contact Marilyn directly to book. Please arrive with dry hair that has been washed and thoroughly detangled within 1-2 day of appointment.
Wash & Go: Please arrive with dry hair that has been washed and thoroughly detangled within 7-10 days of your appointment. Avoid buns, braids, and ponytails and applying raw oils and butters to the hair.

In order to maintain a tranquil atmosphere, please arrive to your appointment alone. Make arrangements for partners, children, friends and family - this time is all about you!
If recipient of services is under 18, a parent/guardian is welcome to accompany them in the treatment room.

In the event of cancellation with less than 48 hours notice, a fee of 50% of scheduled service price will be charged. No show will be charged cancellation fee and will be unable to reserve future appointments.
If you arrive 15 minutes or later after appointment start time, the appointment will need to be rescheduled and you will be charged 50% of scheduled service price.

Payments received for salon services and fees are non-refundable. In the event you are unsatisfied with a service, please reach out within 7 days and I will be happy to make adjustments.
